Alpen Pass

Practice for the Austrian citizenship test on Android. The test has 18 questions: 6 on democracy, 6 on the history of Austria and 6 on the history of your federal state, each with four answers of which one to three are right. Alpen Pass trains exactly that, for all 9 states, with over 1000 questions that each name the official booklet and page they come from.

Not a government service

Alpen Pass does not represent any government entity. It has no link to the Federal Ministry of the Interior (BMI), to any state government, to MA 35 or to the ÖIF, and it does not register you for the test. It issues no certificate and gives no guarantee of passing. Every question and study text is our own wording, written from the official sources below; the questions are practice questions, not the questions of the real test.

Quick start

  1. Install Alpen Pass from Google Play. It runs on Android 10 or newer.
  2. Pick your federal state and your language on the welcome screen, then tap Let's go.
  3. Read a study chapter under Learn, or tap Continue practice to answer questions.
  4. Set your test date in Settings, so repetition is paced to it.
  5. With Pro, sit a mock exam under Exam: 18 questions, scored like the real test.
