Cookbook

Short recipes, a few taps each. "Hold an empty spot" means a long press on wallpaper with no window.

Make a music page

  1. Hold an empty spot, tap workspaces, then new workspace.
  2. Tap + add and pick cliamp from the media group.
  3. Add cava the same way.
  4. Drag an edge handle to give cliamp more room. Taller shows the playlist.
  5. Tap done.

Radio: hold cliamp, let go, tap radio › and pick a station.

A calm page for reading

  1. Hold an empty spot, workspaces, new black page.
  2. Tap + add and add notes and a clock.
  3. In look, cycle font until you like how it reads.
  4. In settings, motion and battery, turn animations off for a still page.

Switch to a night look

  1. Hold an empty spot and tap look, then presets.
  2. Tap oled void. Your current hyprtile.conf is saved as hyprtile.conf.bak first.
  3. In the morning, pick neon hyper or your own preset again.

Quicker: type theme matte-black in the terminal window.

Your own border gradient

  1. Open settings, edit config file.
  2. In general, set the line below. Add as many colours as you like.
    col.active_border = rgba(00e5ffee) rgba(8b5cffee) rgba(ff2bd6ee) 45deg
  3. Save. The desktop reloads live.

Go back to the theme's own gradient with col.active_border = theme 45deg.

Tight gaps, sharp corners

  1. Open hyprtile.conf.
  2. In general, set gaps_in and gaps_out lower.
  3. In decoration, set rounding = 0.
  4. Save.

Weather for several cities

  1. Open settings, home, weather place.
  2. Type Zagreb, London, here. here is your location.
  3. Tap the weather window to step to the next place.

Resize two tiled windows

  1. On a tiled page, drag the gap between two windows.
  2. Double tap the gap to flip them side by side or stacked.
  3. Undo it: hold a window, let go, reset splits.

Turn a window into another

  1. Hold the window and let go.
  2. Tap replace with and pick any kind. It takes the same place.

Move a window to another workspace

  1. Hold the window and let go.
  2. Tap move to workspace and pick a page, or new workspace.

Place windows like widgets

  1. Hold an empty spot on a tiled page.
  2. Tap the make room: free page pill.
  3. Now each window sits on its own cells, and empty cells stay empty.

Switch back under workspaces, tiling.

A matching lock screen

  1. Open settings, lock screen, set as lock screen.
  2. Pick Hyprtile lock screen, then "Lock screen" or "Home and lock screen".
  3. Tap hide system cards and set notifications to "Don't show any notifications". Turn off "Dynamic clock" too.
  4. Pick lock screen style: pills or card.

Save battery

  1. Settings, motion and battery, frame rate: 30 fps.
  2. Turn animations off.
  3. Use a black or image wallpaper, or the oled void preset.

Your own wallpaper

  1. Open look, pick wallpaper image.
  2. Pick any picture from your phone.

Change the terminal font

  1. Open look and tap font to cycle: JetBrains Mono, Fira Code, Meslo, Hack, Caskaydia Mono, or the phone's own.

Or in hyprtile.conf: fonts { mono = fira-code }.

A work page

  1. Make a new workspace.
  2. Add calendar, meeting, notes and pomodoro.
  3. Allow the calendar when asked.

Sync the theme with Omarchy or Phosphor

  1. Settings, link devices, turn link on.
  2. Pick the other device. Both screens show a six digit code.
  3. If they match, tap same code, pair.

Get the store look back

  1. Open look, showcase setup, apply it.
  2. Your old conf is kept as hyprtile.conf.bak. reset to defaults in help can bring it back.
